As a note, the personality segment of this page is written in an incredibly biased and partially inaccurate manner, because wikis sure are wikis. The history section's servicable though!

Personality:
🌸 Skeptical. Romelle doesn't take things at face value. She is naturally suspicious and not afraid to doubt the comforting explanations that everyone in her environment provides. When she gets a sense that something is wrong, she follows her heart on it, even if it works as an isolating factor from the community around her. Romelle is somebody who will always ask why - and if there is no satisfactory explanation provided, she'll go digging.
🌸 Curious. On the flipside, she also has a positive motivation for learning about new things. She's lived all her life in the same secluded biodome, so everything outside is immensely intriguing to her. She's canonically the person who enthusiastically presses every button she can find because she just needs to see what it does.
🌸 Unworldly. Due to her isolation, Romelle's understanding of the world outside is extremely limited. She regularly mistakes idiomatic speech for literal, for example. She is also very quickly weirded out by events that don't fit into her predefined experiences. This also makes her a bit judgmental about living circumstances that would be considerd 'below standard' for the colony in its pseudo-utopic village bliss.
🌸 Vengeful. When it comes to people who have hurt her and her loved ones, Romelle is in the camp of 'shoot first, ask questions later'. This is only explored briefly in canon, but she's the one who pushes the Paladins to shoot at her enemy ship despite the fact that one of their allies is also on board. If she hates somebody, she wants them dead.
🌸 Romantic. This features two-fold. For one, Romelle is just enthusiastic about the idea of romance. One of her most enthusiastic moments in canon is when she is helping a friend get ready for a date. She's the kind of buddy who will squeal for you if you get asked out. On a more broad level, however, Romelle has a romanticized view of what she wants out of the world. She famously declares "adventures are not fun!" after being dragged into wacky main team hijinks, but this isn't because she values safety above all. She just thinks that action should be streamlined and heroic - she does dream of saving the day by piloting one of the legendary lion spaceships! That's neat and tidy and fits into her view of what proper heroics are like - crawling through the mud in ant-size and jumping onto strange animals does not fit this picture...

Suitability: Romelle has spent her whole life living in an isolated biodome while being lied to be the cult-like leader and protector of this community. You BET she's not going to move away from ADI's sources of information anytime soon. She won't trust them and she's deeply disapproving of hiding these things from the general populace, but she understands that this is the place where she can do something about it. Also she's visible non-human, so running off on her own might be an issue.

Powers/Abilities: Romelle has no abilities that would be considered extraordinary for her species, but from a human perspective she is definitely extraordinary.

🌸Strength: Alteans are significantly stronger than an average human.
🌸Shapeshifting: every Altean can adjust the color and size of their body at will. It is by no means a complete transformation (size and color is really all it manipulates) but it does help camouflage in foreign territories.
🌸Energy transference – Alteans can also transfer life energy (called quintessence in canon), either from one being to another or from themselves to someone else. At canon-point this is not something Romelle has been trained in and the limitations of this skill are ill-defined in canon to begin with... so I expect it won't come up, but I'm listing it in case!

Entity Affinity: The Spiral. I am honestly not sure if she counts as powered based on her biological qualities, please let me know!!

Either way though, I plan to associate her with the Spiral. Having grown up in a biodome cult, Romelle has spent her whole life with the hunch that something is off about what her people think they know about reality. Whenever she would tell somebody about her suspicons, they would naturally deny that anything is off – she was objecting to the whole perceived structure of reality after all.

In a new setting, Romelle will continue being deeply suspicious of the way 'truth' is presented to her. This makes her a good candidate for inflicting spiral-based terror as she can plant similar questions in others via her skepticism.
